Pediatric Inpatient/Outpatient Physical Therapist

Location: Alaska

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00) with some weekends required (approx. 1-2 weekend shifts per month).

Job Description: The Pediatric Inpatient/Outpatient Physical Therapist will provide comprehensive physical therapy services for the pediatric population, including both inpatient and outpatient care. The therapist will be responsible for evaluating, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapy interventions tailored to the unique needs of each child.

Responsibilities:

• Perform evaluations and assessments of pediatric patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize creative and adaptive techniques to promote mobility and physical development.
• Instruct patients and families in the use of adaptive equipment and strategies for home care.
• Document treatment progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must possess a valid AK Physical Therapy License.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in pediatric settings.
• Experience with pediatric evaluations and therapy interventions.
• First timers are accepted with 2 years of pediatric experience.
