Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years. However, must have at least 1 year of CURRENT specialty experience for a clinical pass. - Proficiency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, including dysrhythmia interpretation and appropriate interventions. - Experience with oncology-specific procedures such as chemotherapy administration and brachytherapy.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Oncology experience preferred but not required.

Required Credentials: - Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: - Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any Ohio State University facilities.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric oncology patient population. - Cares for patients with endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, and cervical cancers, including hysterectomy and cystectomy cases. - Unit focus includes chemotherapy, clinical trials, brachytherapy, CBI, neobladder care, telemetry monitoring, feeding tube care, blood product administration, and central line maintenance.

Shift & Scheduling: - If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. - Weekends are variable based on unit needs. - The first week of orientation is Monday to Friday day shift. The second week consists of 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor.

Floating Requirements: - Float to other MedSurg Oncology units.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
