Medical Support Assistant – Muskogee, OKJamison Professional Services, Inc. ("Jamison") is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Medical Support Assistant. This is a 100% remote position for candidates residing within 50 miles of an eligible VISN 19 VA Medical Center.DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: As a Medical Support Assistant, you will assist Veterans by scheduling appointments, coordinating community care referrals, maintaining patient information, and providing outstanding customer service while supporting VA healthcare operations. Hourly Rate: $16.96 + BenefitsResponsibilities:Schedule and coordinate patient appointments in accordance with VA policies.Process Community Care referrals using VA systems.Maintain accurate patient demographic information.Coordinate care with community healthcare providers.Answer incoming calls professionally and provide excellent customer service.Respond to patient and provider inquiries regarding services.Document information accurately within VA electronic health record systems.Monitor consults and appointment status to ensure timely completion.Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and VA applications daily.Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect sensitive patient information.Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:High School Diploma or GEDMust reside in the United StatesMinimum of 6 months of customer service experienceKnowledge of medical terminologyTyping speed of 50+ words per minuteStrong verbal and written communication skillsComputer proficiencyAbility to work independently in a remote environmentExperience in medical scheduling or healthcare administrationPrevious experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)Experience in a call center or healthcare customer service environmentPreferred: Familiarity with VA systems such as CPRS, VistA, HSRM, PPMS, CTM, or similar healthcare applications is highly desirable.Location: RemoteSchedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm, excluding federal holidays.Clearance Level Required: Employment is contingent upon successfully completing any required background checks, in accordance with applicable law.Jamison Corporate Overview: Jamison Professional Services, Inc.
