We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world.In the role of Senior Transportation Engineer, we'll count on you to:Serve in the lead technical role of transportation projects through all phases of developmentPerform quality assurance and control reviews on transportation projects on interstate and state highway systemsServe as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexityMentor and train staff in performance of engineering and other technical workPerform project management duties as needed, and support Project ManagersServe as a client main point of contact and support client service for key clients in the areaSupervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as neededSupport projects and clients for other business groups as neededPerform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications:MSCE, or twenty plus years’ experienceExperience with MicroStation and Microsoft Office applicationsFamiliarity with Bently Design applicationsQualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree A minimum of 10 years experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams Project management skills desirable Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans Must have coordinated survey, grading, drainage and utilities and layout of various site items is a plus An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
