Phlebotomist Floater

LabCorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. We are seeking a Phlebotomist Float for Gardendale, AL. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 2+ years of phlebotomy experience. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency required if work experience is insufficient. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation. At least 21 years of age. Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or eligible for medical or religious accommodations. Benefits Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement. Pay and benefits eligibility for employees regularly scheduled to work 20+ hours per week, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO)/Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees working less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) Plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
