Position Overview HCA Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator / RN Ortho Neuro to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and support the commitment to exceptional, patient-centered care. This clinical leader will serve as a bedside expert on an orthopedic and neurology-focused unit, coordinating nursing care delivery for a diverse population of post‑operative, musculoskeletal, spine, and neurological patients. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care and oversee nursing staff on the unit, including assessment, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans; monitor patient progress, respond to changes in condition, and provide education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, and discharge plans; manage daily workflow, assist with patient assignment and staffing coordination, and support adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards; foster effective communication across the interdisciplinary team; collaborate with leadership and clinical staff on pain management, post‑surgical care, mobility and fall‑prevention strategies, neurological assessments, and monitoring for complications such as infections, DVT, and changes in neurological status; use critical thinking and clinical judgment to prioritize care, advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes; mentor newer nurses, provide real‑time coaching and feedback, and support a learning environment. Qualifications Registered Nurse with experience in orthopedic and/or neuro nursing; demonstrated ability to coordinate bedside care, manage multiple patient populations, and communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff; strong organization, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills; ability to remain calm and effective in a fast‑paced, acute‑care environment.
