Class A Driver

Class A DriverThis position is responsible for the daily functions related to the loading, unloading and transportation of company's and customers' materials, products, and equipment. This individual will perform all duties in accordance with Revels policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.Essential duties include:Loads and/or unloads material, products, and equipment on trucks/trailersOperates a commercial vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation lawsTransports loads safely and in a timely manner over required routeOperates specialized equipment when warrantedMaintains electronic driver logs and paper logs when required in accordance to Federal, State, and local lawsPerforms daily safety check at the beginning of the assigned shift, logging a pre-trip inspection reportMaintains the assigned vehicle in a clean and serviceable condition at all timesFacilitates routine service on assigned vehicle, which may include checking all fluids, tires and other general service neededReports maintenance malfunctions to Logistics ManagerMaintain/Use electronic portable devices (phone/tablet) to record logs/timeLocate and read location on road mapsAll employees, other than remote sales staff, are expected to report to their designated work location and be ready to work at the start of their assigned shift.Non-essential duties include:Other duties as requested/assignedSkills and qualifications include:Must hold active Class A Commercial Driver's LicenseMust pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state Department of Transportation regulationsAbility to remain focused in busy environmentMust maintain an active Department of Transportation physical and medical cardGeneral working knowledge and understanding of Federal, State and Local Department of Transportation rules and regulationsStrong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staffFamiliar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.Team player, willingness to and be adaptable in challenging situationsBilingual communications (if fluent in other than English languages)This position's schedule is Monday through Friday variable hours. This schedule may and will change depending on the work demand. This position may be required to work overtime (outside of normal business hours, including weekends) and/or altered hours, if management deems necessary. This position will be required to travel on a regular basis, most travel may be same day travel.Working conditions include:A truck driver will spend the majority of the assigned shift in and operating their vehicle. The driver will be exposed to the weather and elements on a regular basis.Position primarily involves sitting in a vehicle for prolong periods of timeMust be able to move up to 50 pounds at a timeMust be able to complete various activities that may require sitting, lifting, standing, and carrying, bending, stretching, kneeling, and squatting
