Welding Shop Maintenance Technician

EVALUATION HIRE

$23 - 25 / hr + depending on experience

Day Shift: 6 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Welding Shop Maintenance Technician for a local client in Livingston Parish .

This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of equipment and shop tools to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, be self-motivated, and have experience working on industrial equipment, forklifts, trucks, and facility systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES for Welding Shop Maintenance Tech:

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on welding shop equipment and machinery.
Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
Maintain and repair forklifts, trailers, and 18-wheelers.
Troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, controls, and related equipment.
Inspect equipment regularly and address maintenance issues before failures occur.
Maintain shop tools, compressors, generators, and other production equipment.
Keep accurate maintenance records and document completed repairs.
Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Coordinate with operations personnel to minimize equipment downtime.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair experience required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance experience required.
Experience working on forklifts, diesel engines, trailers, and heavy equipment preferred.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus..
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial shop environments.
