Regional Tractor Trailer Driver – Municipal Group of Companies TDR Transportation & Logistics, a subsidiary of The Municipal Group of Companies, is a transportation company providing courier and transport services around Atlantic Canada. We are currently seeking a Regional Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team within Atlantic Canada. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Driving locally and among the Maritimes. Loading, transporting, and offloading freight. Report to the dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road. Follow all applicable traffic laws. Inspect the trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects found. Keep a log of all activities. Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel. Keep the truck and associated equipment clean and in good working order. Load and unload deliveries through a variety of mechanisms and delivery assistance devices. Use technology to map routes, deliver, pickup, track shipments, and communicate universally. Ensure documents are delivered, entered accurately and turned in accordingly. Perform all customer tasks in a polite, resourceful and professional manner with overall excellent customer service throughout the process. Any other duties as assigned by the manager. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience Proven work experience as a truck driver. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. No recent moving or driving violations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations, such as traffic or weather conditions. Valid Class 1 Driver's License. Working Conditions Work both indoors and outdoors. Manual dexterity required to operate computer equipment. Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.
