Position Overview

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in HVAC system design and enjoys taking part in the full project lifecycle from concept through construction and close-out. You'll work directly with architects, contractors, and consultants

seamlessly with architectural intent.

Key Responsibilities

? Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for luxury residential projects.

? Conduct on-site surveys to document existing conditions.

? Develop load calculations, system layouts, equipment selections, riser diagrams, and detailed drawings.

? Prepare reports, specifications, and design narratives.

? Coordinate designs with architects and consultants to ensure integrated solutions.

? Review submittals, evaluate field installations, and participate in site observations.

? Approximately 15–20% field time expected.

Rough Qualifications

? BSME required; EIT preferred, PE track encouraged.

? Minimum of 2 years of HVAC design and field coordination experience in residential, commercial, retail, or institutional projects (Experience in any Building type is transferrable here)

Core Skills

? Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

? Experience with Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, or similar load calculation software.

? Strong understanding of load calculations, equipment selection, duct and pipe sizing, controls strategy, and documentation.

? Familiarity with geothermal, chilled water, VRF, and high-performance HVAC systems. xhyhwjd

? Working knowledge of international mechanical codes; NYC code experience a plus.
