Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Weekend and holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services in inpatient or outpatient settings depending on placement need; inpatient coverage may include general inpatient, rehab, and sub-acute units
• Treat a diverse patient population including orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, surgical, bariatric, cardiac, ICU, and long-term/vented patients
• Deliver outpatient OT services at clinic locations, which may include orthopedic, sports medicine, neuro, peds, and lymphedema program patients
• Document patient care and treatment progress using Cerner EMR
• Participate in weekend rotation (expected every Saturday or every Sunday) and holiday rotation with permanent staff

Required Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of California
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience
• Proficiency or ability to work with Cerner EMR
• Ability to work 8-hour day shifts including weekends and holidays as scheduled

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with swallow studies (a rare and valued specialty for OTs in this setting)
• Experience treating spinal cord injuries, stroke, and traumatic brain injury in a rehab setting
• Familiarity with sub-acute care environments including vented and long-term patients
• Experience in outpatient settings including orthopedics, sports medicine, or lymphedema management
