Behavior Intervention Specialist

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is highly valued
• Active Texas teaching certification with SPED endorsements
• Prior experience in special education, social work, counseling, or a related discipline
• Background in school counseling, Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC), Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA), or psychology/social work strongly desired

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to student needs
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to evaluate and address behavioral challenges
• Participate in ARD, IEP, RtI, and Section 504 meetings as a behavioral expert, contributing valuable insights and recommendations
• Deliver in-classroom support and guidance to staff, serving as a resource for best practice behavioral strategies
• Provide crisis intervention and behavior management to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment for all students
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, counselors, and administrators to ensure coordinated care and intervention

This full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week) offers starting compensation from $30 per hour and is commensurate with experience.
