ASANTE ITEMS OF NOTE:
- Local Radius: Client does not accept local candidates and has a 50-mile radius restriction.
- Call Off Policy: Client may call off or cancel up to 24 hours per 13 weeks.
- Non-Billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours of non-billable orientation for first work week. Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation.
- Licensure: Non-Oregon Licensed RNs can apply and be eligible for a 90-day temporary license if their permanent license is not posted before the start of their assignment.

1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Perform clinical laboratory procedures (both manual and automated), quality assurance and instrument maintenance. Conduct and complete routine and specialty lab tests including; blood bank, immunology, microbiology, hematology, microscopy and chemistry. Receive specimens, including but not limited to; blood, urine and bodily fluids.


2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Computer charting?
Computer proficiency is preferred in word, spreadsheet, data base, email, and EPIC.


3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Bachelor's Degree in MT, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related field is preferred. If not, an Associate of Arts Degree in Lab Science with training or experience. Minimum 2 yrs of hospital laboratory experience.


4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. Is a national certification required?
Current American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Certification or equivalent. BLS is not required.


5. Shift or schedule requirements.
Work is performed on various shifts and often under tight time constraints.


6. Number of patients in a day; who do they have as support staff?
Coordinate the work of phlebotomists and clerical staff as required. MLT reports to Director of Lab Services and may receive direction from the Technical Supervisor.


7. Dress Code:
Scrubs - must be clean, no color preference.


8. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
Computer training on EPIC is performed in a classroom setting, orientation dates are set. Classes are held at the Asante - Rogue Regional campus. Additional training will be available, as needed, in the Lab.
