Purchasing Manager

DescriptionWe are looking for a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities and strengthen sourcing strategies for the organization in Fort Mill, South Carolina. This role will oversee purchasing operations, support cost-effective vendor partnerships, and help ensure materials and services are obtained in line with business needs. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in corporate procurement, supplier negotiations, and day-to-day purchasing processes within a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:• Lead end-to-end purchasing activities, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services that meet operational and budget requirements.• Develop and refine procurement procedures to improve efficiency, consistency, and compliance across buying activities.• Prepare, review, and manage purchase orders while maintaining accurate documentation and follow-through with suppliers.• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, and contract conditions to secure favorable value for the business.• Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors, addressing performance, service levels, and ongoing sourcing needs.• Oversee sourcing for indirect materials and indirect spend categories, identifying opportunities for savings and process improvement.• Monitor market conditions, supplier trends, and product availability to support informed purchasing decisions, including perishable items where applicable.• Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement plans with departmental priorities and operational demand.Requirements• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply management leadership roles.• Strong knowledge of corporate procurement practices, buying workflows, and purchase order administration.• Demonstrated success negotiating contracts, pricing, and supplier terms.• Experience managing vendor relationships and evaluating supplier performance.• Background in perishable goods and direct material categories.Job typePerm
