Title: Specialist II, Administrative Support (Grant) Department: SO Academic Affairs Campus Location: South Campus Employee Classification: CLR - Clerical Position Type: FT - Regular Grant Funded: Yes Pay Frequency: Monthly Compensation Details: Starting Pay - $41,800 Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remotework Special Instructions to Applicant: This is a grant-fundedposition. Continued employment in this position is contingent uponthe renewal of grant funding or the position beinginstitutionalized at the conclusion of the grant. Job Summary: This role is responsible for providing senior-level clerical,administrative, and project support to their assigneddepartment(s). This position may serve as the primary point ofoperational and administrative contact for internal and externalconstituencies, often on complex and confidential issues. Thisposition is expected to have a high level of department-specificknowledge. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Performance Requirements Performs senior-level administrative and technical functions for the unit Makes technical decisions by applying policies, regulations, andprotocol Organizes unit events Manages external stakeholders Performs high-level, unit-specific tasks Assists with Budget and Grant Management Schedules appointments and maintains calendars Prepares and creates memos, emails, invoices, etc. Performs assigned duties Service Excellence Participates on behalf of the College in external communityorganizations and associations Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC)Institute Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of theCollege Works under minimal supervision of assigned departmentleadership *Performs Other Related Tasks as Required The duties listed are intended only as illustrations of thevarious types of work that may be performed. Required Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED Three (3) years' working experience related to the EssentialPerformance Requirements Preferred Qualifications: At least one (1) year’s working experience in a college oruniversity setting related to the Essential PerformanceRequirements At least one (1) year’s working experience with data entry,recordkeeping, reporting, and maintaining grant files ordatabases Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonalrelationships, including strong listening, verbal, and writtencommunication Skilled in using computer applications and enterprise systems,including Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel andOutlook Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicateproblems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work arevaried, and unpredictable in scope and volume Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly andaccurately while effectively managing time, supporting resources,and stakeholders Physical Demands and Work Environment: Physical Demands Physical Demands described here are representatives of thosethat must be met by an employee to successfully perform theessential functions of this job. Specific visionabilities required by this job include close vision, distancevision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and theability to adjust focus. While performing the duties ofthis job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanicalparts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
