Cloud Data Architect

Responsibilities Provide strategy and recommendations for evolving cloud architecture (hybrid, containerized, and edge), including a path to meet capability and security requirements. Provide budget estimates based on the MARS cloud roadmap. Monitor and identify cloud service anomalies. Evaluate cloud systems and provide feedback on performance and cost options. Evaluate and recommend strategies and tools to improve the MARS CI/CD pipeline, ensuring automation, speed, auditability, and security across on-prem, hybrid, and edge environments. Support MARS edge and cross-domain solution development. Manage and oversee non-routine and complex projects with agile development teams. Provide strategy and recommendations for cloud providers and services suitable for adoption in the MARS environment. Stay abreast of current and roadmap services from cloud providers. Advocate for services that improve security, performance, and availability of the MARS system. Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Minimum 10 years of experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) in a relevant position. Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or computer science. AWS Solution Architect certification. TOP SECRET clearance/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility with Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.
