Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

Position: Mental Health Therapist Program: Mental Health (DMH) Classification: Non-Exempt Under Direction of: Program Manager – 110/430/Recovery Service 2 Positions Open : 1 position in the Carlinville IL office, 1 position in the Carrollton IL office Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, recovery-oriented services to individuals in both office and community-based settings. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering evidence-based care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and fostering a supportive environment for consumers. Key Responsibilities Interact with consumers in a caring, professional, and responsive manner aligned with our agency’s mission Provide culturally sensitive services that respect diverse backgrounds and experiences Deliver services that promote recovery-oriented principles Facilitate therapy groups as assigned Provide both office-based and community-based mental health services Collaborate effectively as part of a treatment team to ensure consumer needs are met Maintain positive working relationships with team members, funders, referral sources, and community partners Manage schedule efficiently to maximize access to services for consumers Meet productivity expectations (approximately 5 billable hours per day) Complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes Seek supervision and guidance when needed to ensure quality care Attend all required meetings and trainings Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and the Mental Health Confidentiality Act Follow all agency policies and procedures to ensure best practices Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human service Field required / Master’s degree &/or License in Human Service Field preferred Meet criteria for Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) Experience providing mental health services preferred Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to culturally competent, recovery-oriented care Knowledge with diagnostic assessment using DSM V Able to work with individuals recovering from mental illness Able to provide transportation to agency consumers as needed Have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance Pass required background checks Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles Work Schedule Schedule may vary based on client and agency needs Flexibility required, including potential evening or community-based hours Benefits (Full-Time Employees) We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your health, well‑being, and work‑life balance: Vacation PTO (Sick Time) Paid Holidays Insurance Benefits: 401(k) Group Health Insurance Basic Term Life Insurance Malpractice Coverage Optional Benefits: Vision Insurance Voluntary Term Life Insurance Additional supplemental plans Monthly Travel & Expense Reimbursement #J-18808-Ljbffr
