Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele float pool position requiring a CT or compact license and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Float pool position covering Medsurg units
• Night shift 12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30, with 36 or 48 hour options available
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Cares for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Uses Omnicell medication system and Cerner documentation system
• Utilizes SBAR communication system

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Experienced in blood product administration
• Skilled in peripheral line care and management
• Experienced in PICC line management
• Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs
• Experienced in nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and PPE protocols

• Provides care as part of a float pool supporting multiple Medsurg units
• Professional references required for consideration
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront
• Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and accepted at a reduced rate
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this role
