What you get in return ...Our production openings start off at $17.15 per hour plus a 5% shift premium for 2nd shift. In addition, this position is eligible for full benefits including access to our on-site Medical Clinic. Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Demonstrated basic math skills
- Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English
- Prior experience in a packaging / manufacturing environment is required.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is periodically required to work in the plant environment to manage and support manufacturing operations which includes the regular use of hands to finger, handle, and/or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The associate must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level is generally moderate to high.
Principal Duties and/or Responsibilities
- Pack components produced from the press.
- Sort, Fill, Package, & Palletize product to packaging specifications.
- Accurate, efficient, & proactive in daily duties.
- Load coils as required from cradle to reel.
- Feed strip of material up to the feeder to be readied for production.
- During a press changeover, move all equipment back to storage locations.
- 5-S as a PRIORITY - Keep station clean and orderly.
- Keep incoming empty containers in proper locations.
- Report all Quality, Production or Safety problems to the Team Lead.
- Ensure finished product is labeled and staged for Material Handler pick-up.
- Write & follow-up on Work Orders as needed for repairs in assigned area.
- Understand and follow all safety rules.
