This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a stepdown unit with the potential to float to other units as needed. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients, utilizing evidence-based practices. Monitor patients’ vital signs, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and their families on health management and discharge planning. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Shifts: Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Qualifications: Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty. Current RN license valid in Ohio or a compact state. Valid certifications in AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Ability to work at least every other holiday as part of the commitment to patient care. Orientation and Assessments: During orientation, travelers will be required to complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment, achieving acceptable scores on both.
