Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill an on-site Customer Service Manager job with a key client in the precision manufacturing space in Thomaston, CT. If you have five or more years of customer service experience, a background in manufacturing, and a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, this DIRECT HIRE opportunity could be a great fit for you. In this role, you will provide management oversight of a customer service team supporting two businesses on the Connecticut Campus, driving service excellence across the organization while serving as the key liaison between commercial and operations. You will bring strong leadership skills, sharp analytical abilities, and the confidence to challenge and lead change at all levels of the organization.
Customer Service Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Drive service emphasis throughout the organization with the support of the executive team
- Hire, train, and develop Account Specialists, Project Leads, and Customer Account Representatives to deliver responsive service
- Define goals and objectives for the Customer Service team and manage the annual performance evaluation process
- Identify and monitor service metrics and KPIs, providing data analysis and recommendations across all levels of the organization
- Work closely with the Commercial organization to ensure consistency of support to all customers
- Publish and update project timelines, monitoring milestones and communicating any variations that impact customer satisfaction
- Enforce that all Purchase Orders are keyed, generated, and distributed to ensure on-time delivery
- Negotiate inventory transactions, analyze customer forecasts, and address day-to-day supply issues
- Recognize gaps in process, identify root cause, and implement required changes
- Lead the team through staff meetings, coaching, training, and development
- Ensure proper integration of all internal touch points including manufacturing, scheduling, logistics, labs, marketing, sales, and finance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- Five or more years of related customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong computer skills and excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to develop team dynamics and strong morale that fosters open communication and high performance
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership
