Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 + Bonus + Benefits

A vibrant classic American restaurant with an eclectic global twist , opening this Fall in the heart of Manhattan , is seeking a passionate and innovative Executive Chef to lead its culinary team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing New York City hospitality group with multiple established restaurant and bar concepts.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Executive Chef who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has a strong creative vision for menu development while maintaining consistency and quality.

This is a true working Chef position , with the successful candidate expected to be actively involved in the kitchen, whether leading the line, expediting, or supporting the team during peak service.

During the opening phase, you will also have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced Executive Chef from another location within the group, providing additional support and guidance throughout the launch.

Key Responsibilities

• Menu Development & Innovation: Create and execute an inspiring menu combining classic American cuisine with global influences.
• Kitchen Leadership: Lead, develop, and mentor the culinary team while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Hands-On Service: Remain actively involved in service, working the line and expediting during high-volume periods.
• Opening Leadership: Help build and establish the kitchen team, systems, standards, and culture ahead of opening.
• Hiring & Training: Interview, hire, onboard, and train kitchen and porter staff.
• Cost & Inventory Management: Manage food and labor costs, inventory, ordering, and kitchen efficiency to support profitability.
• Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure all health, safety, sanitation, and food-handling standards are consistently maintained.
• Team Culture: Create a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen environment.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of American cuisine and international flavors , with a creative approach to menu development.
• A proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a culinary team.
• Strong understanding of food cost, labor cost, inventory, and kitchen operations .
• Comfortable being a hands-on Chef and leading from the kitchen floor.
• Experience with restaurant openings is highly desirable.
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine passion for hospitality, food, and developing people.
