Lowboy Equipment Transport Specialist (CDL-A)

Job Description

Picture your day starting just before sunrise. By 6:00 AM, you’ve completed a meticulous pre-trip, checked your chains and binders, and you’re easing a lowboy out of the yard with today’s first load headed for a local job site. No long-haul runs—home every evening.

What You’ll Do (A Day in the Life)

Operate CDL-A combination vehicles and equipment trailers to move construction machinery locally.
Load and unload graders, loaders, dump trucks, plows, hot shots, and other site equipment with care and precision.
Secure every load using chains, binders, straps, and proper tie-down techniques.
Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep transportation logs accurate and up to date.
Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies without compromise.
Coordinate with dispatch and field crews to keep deliveries on schedule.
Pitch in with equipment loading and site support as needed.

About the Work and Schedule

Local routes only — NO OTR, home each night
Shift: Monday–Friday, Day Shift, typically 6:00 AM start
Pay: $28/hour to start

What You Bring

Valid Class A CDL (no exemptions)
Hands-on experience hauling heavy equipment
Strong command of DOT rules and load securement procedures
Comfort operating or assisting with equipment (e.g., loaders, graders, skid steers)
