Night shift - 3x12 Hour schedule (18:30 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for night shifts. This unit specializes in cardiovascular care and operates with a focus on providing high-quality patient outcomes. The position requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for a maximum of 4 patients per nurse.
• Manage complex patient conditions, including critically ill cardiovascular patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor and assess patient health status, documenting care and interventions accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols.
• Educate patients and families on ongoing care and disease management.
• Participate in unit initiatives aimed at improving patient safety and quality of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact state.
• Two years of experience in a cardiovascular or progressive care setting preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is essential.
• Ability to perform advanced nursing skills such as cardiac telemetry and management of high-acuity patients.
