Primary Responsibilities:Support Utilization Management function and related initiatives across all lines of businessSupport Enterprise Clinical Services and Clinical Appeals, including review of operational policies and procedures, clinical coverage review and escalated clinical issues Counsel senior management on strategic business initiativesProactively identify and resolve legal matters Develop best practices for addressing emerging legal and business risksSupport the development of new clinical programsCollaborate with colleagues across the UnitedHealth Group’s legal and compliance departmentsHelp foster key regulatory relationshipsAssist in the review, preparation and negotiation of various products, documents and contracts Assist with negotiations with key customers and vendorsYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Juris Doctorate degree4+ years of legal experienceAbility to provide timely and responsive legal support for business partners located in the Central and Eastern Time ZonesFull COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $113,500 to $218,100.
