Role Description We are currently looking for someone to implement and maintain a comprehensive security program designed to identify and respond to risks in order to protect credit union employees, members, assets and information. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain knowledge of current laws and regulations dealing with credit union security. Advise management of the operational impact of any regulatory changes and assist in the implementation of such changes. Develop and maintain written security procedures for employees. Develop and maintain a Security Training Program for employees. Consult with other credit union organizations on policies and procedures which minimize risk exposure. Disseminate information regarding security policies and procedures to appropriate departments. Respond to questions from staff members regarding policies and procedures as they relate to security. Coordinate with management to conduct periodic security reviews. Provide reports and recommendations to senior management. Assist auditors/regulators with their examinations, making available any security related information that is necessary to complete the examinations. Prepare follow up responses for management regarding any findings. Assist in coordination of Disaster Recovery and Contingency Plan activities. Maintain a working relationship with local law enforcement organizations. Advise management in decisions relating to new or existing security equipment. Conduct both internal and external investigations when security matters are involved. Handle all investigations with confidentiality. Qualifications Completion of a four-year degree program from an accredited college or university. Minimum of five years of similar or related experience preferred. Completion of a Security Officer certification program or agreement to attain such certification. Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to financial institution security as well as the regulations of the NCUA. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required where discretion, accuracy and clarity are essential. Ability to research and analyze applicable laws and regulations, provide recommendations and solutions to compliance issues. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, the internet and general computer skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
