Laboratory Assistant

Laboratory Assistant 1 (Chemistry/Biochemistry)Assist with day-to-day activities in the Formulation Development Labs. Work under the guidance of Formulation Scientists and Lab Technician to prepare small batch size formulations and assess their physical properties. Record all results according to proper data storage guidelines provided and use available tools to visualize results. Support quality assessment of products related to production or market support. Help the Lab Technician with maintenance of the labs (general lab and equipment maintenance, restocking, clean-outs, etc.), with a key focus on safety.Proficient in Microsoft Office Able to learn and effectively use new software tools for Electronic Lab Notebook purposes Able to calculate recipes for a specified batch size, given composition information in wt% or w/v% and density Able to adjust recipe calculations based on specified ingredient purityA bachelors or associates degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field required; previous laboratory experience preferred.
