Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Packaging

Old Fort, OH facility — home to A&H Baking Soda, A&H Cat Litter, and A&H Unit Dose Detergent

Available Shifts & Pay:

• Tue 3:00 PM–11:30 PM; Fri & Sat 7:00 PM–7:30 AM; Sun 7:00 PM–3:30 AM — $32.19/hr + shift premium after training sign-off
• Mon–Fri 3:00 PM–11:30 PM — $35.16/hr after training sign-off

About the Role
We're hiring a skilled maintenance mechanics to keep our high-speed packaging equipment running at peak performance. You'll troubleshoot, repair, and time pack lines, palletizers, stretch wrappers, and conveying equipment, combining strong mechanical and electrical skills to minimize downtime and maximize production.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, adjust, time, and repair packaging equipment (pack lines, palletizers, stretch wrappers, conveyors) with minimal downtime
• Perform preventive maintenance on all packaging equipment
• Fabricate stock parts as needed; repair/rebuild motors, brakes, pumps, etc.
• Track and resolve electrical issues, including PLC troubleshooting
• Perform machine changeovers and line setups for vertical startups
• Read and work from mechanical and electrical blueprints
• Apply basic welding and machining skills (lathe, mill, drill press, band saw)
• Work with regulated products to GFSI and FDA standards; follow plant food safety and HACCP principles
• Follow safe operating procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out
• Maintain a clean, organized work area (5S)
• Flex across shifts, weekends, and departments as production demands require

What You Need

• HS diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience
• Solid electrical background and strong mechanical aptitude
• Basic welding and machining proficiency
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical blueprints
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently
• Self-starter, able to work without direct supervision
