Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab RN for a day shift position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital requiring 2 years of lab experience and a CA RN license.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab department of an acute care, Magnet-designated hospital
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Weekend and on-call coverage required (7 days/month including 1 weekend per month Fri-Sun PM plus 1 weekday)
- Epic EMR required for IR RNs; highly preferred for Cath Lab RNs
- Sedation skills required
- May be required to float between sister facilities
Requirements
- Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- CCI RCES or CCI RCIS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an IR or Cath Lab setting, in a facility with at least 2 procedure rooms and 250+ beds
- First-time travelers considered only if they meet the 2-year lab experience requirement
- Experience with procedural sedation, ACT monitoring, cardioversion, and vascular/neurological studies/procedures
- Experience with sheath removal/monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management

- RN scrub color is royal blue
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront for consideration; limited flexibility for additional time off requests after offer
- Local candidates accepted at a lower rate within a 50-mile radius
- Former Providence permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required prior to start
