Warehouse Supervisor

We are seeking a weekend Warehouse Supervisor for a well known manufacturing company in Farmington, CT. The hours for this position are Saturday and Sunday, 7:00AM-7:30PM (Part Time, 24 hours/week). The hourly pay for this position is $55/hr. Candidate must have experience managing/supervising a warehouse and shipping and receiving environment. Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Manage, hire, lead, train, and develop warehouse and material handling personnel in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws
• Motivate staff, provide feedback, resolve issues, and recognize performance
• Ensure personnel comply with departmental policies, procedures, and safety requirements

Warehouse & Material Operations

• Direct and control shipping, receiving, and material handling activities
• Ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, issuing, and distribution of materials
• Review inbound and outbound documentation (e.g., bills of lading, shipping documents) to plan and prioritize work activities
• Plan and coordinate the movement and transfer of materials within the warehouse and between buildings
• Ensure on-time delivery and proper packaging methods for all shipments

Inventory & Process Management

• Establish and maintain procedures for:
• Verification of incoming/outgoing shipments
• Inventory accuracy and control
• Proper handling and disposition of materials
• Maintain cycle count processes and inventory accuracy
• Arrange for disposition or disposal of surplus or obsolete materials
• Direct reclamation of damaged or defective materials

The essential functions of this role include:
