ABOUT THE POSITION

The Party Staff, Inc. is hiring a Part-Time Staffing Assistant to join our Orange County team in Costa Mesa. We’re a hospitality staffing company, so our office moves quickly. This is a hands‑on position for someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable on the phone, stays organized, and can adjust when priorities change throughout the day. Previous staffing or recruiting experience is NOT required. If you have experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, catering, events, customer service, scheduling, dispatch, recruiting, or a busy office environment, your experience may translate very well to this position. This can also be a great opportunity for someone looking to transition from hospitality operations into an office‑based staffing and operations role.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Staffing Coordinator, you’ll help connect our hospitality employees with available work while supporting the day‑to‑day staffing needs of our Orange County clients. Responsibilities include: Calling and texting employees regarding available shifts and upcoming assignments Helping fill open staffing requests for hotels, corporate dining facilities, universities, country clubs, caterers, special events, and other hospitality clients Confirming employee schedules and communicating assignment details Answering incoming employee calls and assisting with routine scheduling and assignment questions Updating schedules, employee availability, staffing notes, and client orders in our staffing system Helping the operations team manage call‑offs, schedule changes, and last‑minute staffing needs Following up with employees to help ensure open assignments are filled Assisting with recruiting, applicant communication, interviews, onboarding, and new‑hire orientation Helping review timesheets and employee hours for accuracy Maintaining accurate employee and assignment information Providing general administrative and office support to the Orange County team This is NOT a quiet data‑entry position. A significant part of this job involves communicating with people by phone and text. You should be comfortable making outbound calls, following up with employees, handling frequent communication, and taking initiative when something needs to get done.

SCHEDULE

Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–5:00 PM Approximately 25 hours per week Occasional additional hours may be available or requested based on business needs This position is 100% in person at our Costa Mesa office. This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.

COMPENSATION

$20–$22 per hour. Actual starting pay within the posted range will depend on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other legitimate business considerations.

The Party Staff, Inc. has specialized in hospitality staffing for more than 37 years. We provide servers, bartenders, catering attendants, bussers, dishwashers, prep cooks, line cooks, and other hospitality professionals to hotels, corporate dining facilities, universities, country clubs, caterers, venues, private events, and other hospitality organizations. Our Staffing Assistants play an important role in keeping those operations moving by connecting qualified employees with our clients’ staffing needs.
