Introduction Our client is a hospital providing care for small animal patients and is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Chesapeake, Virginia. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Responsibilities include performing wellness examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing treatment plans, conducting surgical and dental procedures, educating clients, and collaborating closely with the veterinary and support teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. The role offers the opportunity to practice a broad range of medicine within a supportive environment that values collaboration and quality patient care. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Practice Details The hospital is a full-service small animal practice providing wellness examinations, vaccinations, dental care, surgical procedures, diagnostic testing, and senior pet care. The modern facility is equipped with advanced technology to support high-quality patient care and informed clinical decision-making. Services offered include dental care, early hip dysplasia screening through PennHIP evaluations, surgery, laser therapy, orthopedic surgery, radiology, vaccinations, puppy and kitten care, senior pet wellness, and routine spay and neuter procedures. The practice emphasizes preventative medicine, client education, and long-term patient health while maintaining a strong focus on compassionate, individualized care. Hospital hours are Monday and Tuesday from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Thursday from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and closed on Sundays. Team The hospital is staffed by 8 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with an excellent staff-to-doctor ratio that allows veterinarians to focus on delivering outstanding patient care.
