Machinist

Join a well-established, employee-focused machine shop where you’ll work on a wide variety of custom and repair projects. This is a hands-on direct hire role ideal for a machinist who enjoys problem-solving, independence, and high-quality work.

What You’ll Do

• Operate manual lathes, vertical mills, and conversational CNC mills
• Machine parts from raw stock and repair/remanufacture customer components
• Set up and fixture parts (chucks, vises, angle plates, etc.)
• Perform threading, keyways, bearing fits, and general machining
• Read blueprints and plan machining processes
• Hold tight tolerances and inspect finished parts using precision tools
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment

What You Bring

• Strong manual machining experience (lathe & mill required)
• Ability to read blueprints and hold tolerances
• Experience in a job shop or repair environment
• Knowledge of metals: steel, stainless, aluminum, brass, bronze, plastics
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Basic hand tools required
• High school diploma or GED

Nice to Have:

• Conversational CNC experience
• Mastercam experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Work Environment

• Job shop (variety of one-off and repair work)
• Fast-paced, team-oriented, not production-driven
• Monday-Friday 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM
• Benefits start after 90 days
