Summary To deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies. (see attached) Registered Nurses use the nursing process to effectively plan and manage quality patient care. Biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning needs are addressed in all steps of the nursing process. This is demonstrated in base-line and comparative documentation, entered in a timely manner, and with evidence of age-appropriate consideration when care is planned, delivered, and evaluated. The Professional Practice Model graphic and Duffy's caring factors are attached. Job Summary The Acute Cancer Center provides emergent/ urgent services to the patients of Moffitt Cancer Center. The Acute Cancer Center is a specialized unit with 27 beds, all equipped with cardiac monitoring. This is a fast-paced, high acuity department with more than 40% of patients admitted to the hospital daily. Position Highlights Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families. Credentials and Qualifications ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 2 year of relevant experience BCLS Certification Valid and Active RN License Salary Range Salary Range $40.27 - $60.40 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
