English Language Development (ELD) – Nurse Summer 2026–2027 Program Location: Union Canal Elementary School Dates: July 27, 2026 – July 31, 2026 Hours: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM Compensation Certified School Nurse: $43.00 per hour Non-Certified Nurse: Paid at board-approved hourly rate Position Overview We are seeking a qualified Nurse to support students during our English Language Development (ELD) summer program. The nurse will provide health services, ensure student safety, and support the medical needs of multilingual learners in a school setting. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and first aid. Monitor and respond to student health needs and medical emergencies. Maintain accurate student health records and documentation. Support implementation of student health plans (e.g., care plans, 504s). Collaborate with staff to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Communicate effectively with families and staff, including those from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Qualifications Valid nursing license. Pennsylvania School Nurse Certification preferred. Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills.
