Business Development - Events Assistant

Plan and execute marketing event logistics Coordinate in-person, virtual, and hybrid events from planning through post-event follow-up Research venues and coordinate catering, transportation, vendors, venues, suppliers, and event materials Manage attendee registration, RSVP tracking, guest communications, and event confirmations Prepare event timelines, checklists, and project trackers Create and distribute event invitations, promotional materials, and attendee communications Support on-site event operations, including registration, setup, vendor management, and attendee assistance Write or work on pitches and RFPs Update collateral Ensure mailing lists, experience records, and other data projects are handled effectively and efficiently Develop audience segmentation and target strategies for email list building and optimization Support email reporting, user training, email policies, and best practices Complete directory submissions and other departmental projects Assist with department-wide tasks as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field preferred Demonstrated initiative; highly organized and detail oriented Strong interpersonal and time-management skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Exemplary customer service and collaboration skills; ability to work well within a team Initiative, independent thinking, and creative problem-solving ability Willingness to learn Ability to work independently while maintaining high efficiency Capability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines and complete projects Flexibility to work the schedule required for event responsibilities Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for extended periods Core Competencies Demonstrates strong organizational and project management capabilities in planning and executing marketing events, with a focus on logistics, attendee engagement, and effective communication.
