Location: Overland Park, Kansas

Contract Type:  Travel Contract

Shift Type:  Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours per Week:  40

Candidate Pay Rate:  $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients throughout their perioperative journey
• Monitor vital signs and manage complex post-operative recovery with precision and compassion
• Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure seamless patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on recovery plans and cardiac health management

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular surgery nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiovascular surgery protocols and post-operative care
• Telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia recognition
• Sterile technique and surgical instrumentation knowledge
• Patient education and family communication
