Technician I

Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC (GWTT) is a leading environmental contractor located in Colonial Heights, VA. We offer design/build services for temporary and permanent treatment systems, and operation and maintenance services for a variety of soil, groundwater, and wastewater treatment systems. GWTT provides construction, dewatering, remediation, and environment construction services.

We have an exciting Full-Time opportunity in our shop for the right individual to join our growing team!

General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Routine maintenance of equipmentOperate fork truck and telehandlerBasic assembly with use of hand toolsLoad/unload trucks of materials receivingClean, power wash, restock material, etc.General shop and yard housekeeping sweep, clean common areas, empty trash cans, snow removal, yard maintenance etc.Pickup and delivery of materials, as necessaryEquipment delivery with use of rack truckHave a construction background (plumbing, carpentry helpful)Travel within the area may be requiredAble to work overtime when needed. Weekend work on occasion.Support office manager

Candidates must possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record and must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Some experience in the environmental field is preferred although we are willing to train the right individual who is dependable, self-motivated, a team player and goal oriented.

OSHA 40-hour training is preferred but will be provided to the right candidate.
