Santa Clara, CA Service Procurement Lead

Service Procurement Lead About SiFly At SiFly, we're building a new category of aircraft: vertical-takeoff, long-endurance drones that deliver helicopter-level performance at drone economics. After thousands of flight tests and years of engineering, our NDAA-compliant platform can fly for more than two hours in hover or three hours in forward flight on a single charge—delivering capabilities traditionally associated with helicopters at a fraction of the cost and operational burden. We combine aerial robotics, advanced perception, onboard intelligence, and innovative communications and networking to make remote, highly autonomous flight possible from day one. We're a small, ambitious team that moves quickly, takes ownership, and solves hard problems. If you enjoy having a meaningful impact and building processes from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you. The Role We're looking for a Service Procurement Lead to own sourcing, contracting, and supplier management across a broad portfolio of business services. This includes telecommunications and connectivity, IT and software, facilities, logistics, professional services, and other strategic third-party services. A key focus of the role will be managing commercial relationships with major connectivity providers such as AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile , while developing scalable procurement strategies across the broader services portfolio. This is a high-ownership role for someone who is equally comfortable developing procurement strategy, negotiating complex agreements, analyzing spend and financial data, and working directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You'll partner closely with Engineering, IT, Operations, Finance, and business leaders to understand requirements, identify opportunities, and secure the right services and commercial terms as SiFly scales. What You'll Do Own the end-to-end procurement process for business services, from requirements definition and market analysis through sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier management. Develop and execute sourcing strategies across telecommunications, IT/software, facilities, logistics, professional services, and other indirect categories. Lead competitive RFPs and supplier evaluations, assessing capability, service quality, implementation approach, risk, commercial terms, and total cost of ownership. Build and manage relationships with strategic suppliers, including major telecommunications and connectivity providers. Negotiate master service agreements, statements of work, pricing schedules, service-level agreements, renewals, termination rights, and other commercial terms. Manage contract renewals and proactively identify opportunities to improve pricing, terms, and service levels before agreements expire. Monitor supplier performance after contract award, including service levels, implementation milestones, escalations, and issue resolution. Track savings, supplier performance, and other procurement KPIs and communicate results clearly to leadership. Identify and mitigate commercial, operational, and supplier risks. Build productive, long-term supplier relationships while maintaining strong commercial discipline. What We're Looking For 7+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or a related commercial function, with significant experience managing business services. Demonstrated experience negotiating complex service agreements and commercial contracts. Strong experience with telecommunications, IT/software, professional services, facilities, logistics, or other indirect procurement categories. Experience managing strategic suppliers and leading competitive sourcing events or RFPs. Strong financial and analytical skills, including spend analysis, cost modeling, pricing analysis, and total cost of ownership. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to understand and improve complex commercial terms. A hands-on, proactive approach and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. What You'll Bring to SiFly Ownership: You take responsibility for outcomes, not just processes. Commercial judgment: You can balance cost, quality, risk, flexibility, and speed when making sourcing decisions. Analytical rigor: You use data to understand spend, evaluate alternatives, and support recommendations. Negotiation skills: You know how to create value for the company while building productive supplier relationships. Bias for action: You're comfortable making progress with incomplete information and adapting as priorities change. Cross-functional leadership: You can bring diverse stakeholders together and drive decisions without relying solely on formal authority. Builder mentality: You enjoy creating practical procurement processes and systems that scale with a growing company. Location & Work Environment Preferably onsite in Santa Clara, CA but open to Hybrid arrangement. SiFly is a small team with high ownership and a hands‑on working environment. You'll work closely with engineers, operators, and business leaders and have the opportunity to see the products and systems you're supporting being developed and tested firsthand. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants. #J-18808-Ljbffr SiFly Aviation, Inc.
