Job Title: Production Operator - Swing Shift

Department: Production

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Job Summary: This position is in the Production Area of YMI. This individual is responsible for operating production equipment in a safe and efficient manner, will perform production support duties as required.

Core Roles:

· Operate previously set up machines / presses.

· Keep accurate records and complete paperwork as needed for each job.

· Keep areas safe and clean, report any hazards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Keep accurate records and complete paperwork as required for the jobs.

· Perform quality checks on parts being run.

· Use and understand appropriate measurement tools for the job being run.

· Properly dispose of scrap steel in proper disposal containers as directed.

· Other duties, including clean-up, assigned by Department Supervisor or Manager.

Required Skills:

· Must be safety conscious.

· Must be able to lift weights appropriate to assigned task.

Preferred Skills:

· Able to operate forklift, company will provide training.

· Knowledge of punch press/press brake operations.

Physical Requirements: (If appropriate to include)

· Must be able to lift weights appropriate to assigned task (Mechanical lifts are available for heavier loads).

· Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods (Up to three (3) hours).

· Must be able to bend at waist and/or knees to properly lift pan of parts.

· Must be able to push loads on carts up to 500 lbs.

· Must be able to perform simple addition, copying figures, counting, and recording.

· Must be able to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.

· Must be able to safely perform repetitive motions with fingers, wrists, hands, arms and Legs.

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: $18-$22 | D.O.E.

Schedule:

· 8-hour Shift | Monday thru Friday (Unless otherwise noted)

Work Location: In person – Generally indoor year-round, heated work area in winter

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
