The Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist. Our facility serves as a training site for Cardiology fellows and Internal Medicine residents, collaborating on VA-led research initiatives with the University of Arizona and Dignity Health. We provide cutting-edge research facilities and resources, including the Million Veterans Program, an innovative study aimed at enhancing Veteran care and advancing medical knowledge. Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: Competitive pay, along with an annual performance bonus and regular salary increments.
• Paid Time Off: Enjoy 50-55 days of paid time off annually, which includes 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potentially 5 days for Continuing Medical Education (CME).

Employment Requirements:

• A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited medical or osteopathic institution.
• Possession of one unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory, with the requirement to maintain an active and unrestricted license.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory; non-citizens may only be considered if qualified citizens cannot be recruited, in line with VA policy.
• Must pass a background/security investigation.

** The Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) is available for this position, allowing for student loan repayment. Eligibility requirements must be met according to VHA policy, and applications must be submitted within four months of starting. Approval, award amounts (up to $200,000), and eligibility periods (ranging from one to five years) will be determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after a thorough review of the application. Previous participants are not eligible to apply for this incentive.
