Description: Position Summary
The Supervisor of Developmental Health oversees the delivery of developmental health, screening, behavioral health, and related family support services while providing supervision, guidance, and operational leadership to assigned staff. Responsibilities include supervising developmental health initiatives, supporting staff performance and development, maintaining community partnerships, promoting access to developmental health resources, supporting training opportunities, and overseeing program implementation and continuous improvement activities. This position helps ensure developmental health services are delivered effectively, consistently, and in alignment with organizational policies, program requirements, and best practices. Success in this role requires strong leadership skills, relationship building, professionalism, empathy, accountability, communication, and the ability to support both staff and program outcomes.
Position OCAsOther Cost Accumulators (OCAs) identify the primary activities associated with this position to support accurate time allocation, expenditure tracking, and reporting. Allocations reflect the general distribution of responsibilities and may vary based on operational needs.

Developmental Health Program Oversight
- Oversee developmental health, behavioral health, screening, and related support services in accordance with organizational policies, program requirements, and best practices.
- Monitor service delivery activities, program implementation, and operational priorities to support effective and timely services.
- Support implementation of developmental health initiatives, special projects, and departmental priorities.
- Address operational challenges and support resolution of escalated service concerns.
Staff Supervision, Development & Performance
- Supervise, support, and develop assigned staff through coaching, performance management, feedback, and ongoing professional development.
- Conduct employee onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and performance improvement activities.
- Establish clear expectations and support accountability for service quality, productivity, and organizational standards.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
Community Partnerships, Resources & Training
- Establish and maintain relationships with physicians, community organizations, service providers, and referral partners.
- Identify, promote, and disseminate developmental health resources and training opportunities for families, providers, educators, and community partners.
- Participate in community meetings, collaborative initiatives, and partnerships that support developmental health outcomes.
- Support communication regarding available resources, supports, reimbursement opportunities, and developmental health services.
Reporting, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor operational performance, program outcomes, compliance requirements, and service metrics related to developmental health services.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and supporting documentation related to departmental activities and initiatives.
- Support quality assurance, monitoring, continuous improvement, and special project activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, operational effectiveness, staff development, and developmental health outcomes.

Scope & Focus
- Leads and is accountable for the performance and outcomes of programs, teams, or specialized operational areas requiring advanced judgement and cooperation.

- Exercises regular independent judgement in program and operational decisions; adapts policies and procedures to address complex or non-routine situations; and anticipates issues and recommends solutions.
Expertise & Independence
- Applies advanced functional or technical expertise to solve complex problems and improve program performance; works independently within established frameworks; and may serve as a subject-matter resource for problem solving and decision support.

- Drives measurable improvements in program quality and outcomes; identifies and implements solutions to operational challenges, ensuring continuous improvement; and leads or contributes to operational initiatives that enhance service delivery, compliance, or system effectiveness.
Supervision & Leadership Impact
- Leads, supervises, or functional directs staff or professional teams to achieve program outcomes; provides guidance, coaching, performance feedback, and accountability for results; and may assist in cross-functional leadership efforts or projects, influencing work beyond direct reporting relationships.

Required
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in an early learning, developmental health, child development, behavioral health, or related environment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting child development, developmental health services, screening activities, or family-centered services.
Preferred
- Experience supervising staff responsible for developmental health, behavioral health, screening, inclusion, or family support services.
- Experience collaborating with physicians, healthcare providers, community partners, or referral agencies.
- Experience supporting developmental health initiatives, training programs, quality improvement efforts, or community-based services.
- Training and implementation experience related to trauma-informed care, Conscious Discipline, Strengthening Families, or similar family-centered approaches.

- Regularly required to stand or sit for prolonged periods; walk; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; climb and/or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; talk; and hear.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to twenty pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds with assistance.
- Telework requires internet speeds of 8 Mbps download/8 Mbps upload and working within the immediate geographical area.
- Must maintain reliable transportation, minimum insurance coverage, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- Reliable mobile phone service is required for technology compliance, including multi-factor authentication.
- Specific vision abilities may include close vision and the ability to focus for prolonged periods.
