Job Description

Position: Project Support Analyst

Location: Remote - must work PST hours

Contract: 12 months - likely to extend through 2027 is candidate is doing well

Rate : $50 to $55 per hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Support Analyst to join our Generation Utility team. This role will support project managers and stakeholders by interpreting project discussions, tracking progress, and identifying scope impacts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management practices, excellent communication skills, and expertise in Power BI to create and maintain actionable dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project teams in tracking and interpreting project status updates and discussions to identify risks, issues, scope impacts, and financial controls. This includes helping ensure alignment with budgetary constraints, forecasting accuracy, and compliance with IT PMO governance.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports to provide accurate, real-time visibility into project metrics, timelines, and resource allocations.
• Assist with project documentation , meeting minutes, and status reporting to ensure consistent communication across stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers to analyze project data and provide insights to leadership for decision-making.
• Ensure project information is accurately captured in project management tools and documentation repositories.
• Assist in identifying and improving processes for project reporting, communication, and performance tracking.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams, operations, and management to facilitate smooth project execution. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-4 years of project support or coordination experience , preferably within a utility or energy generation environment.
• Strong understanding of project management principles (PMP/CAPM certification a plus, but not required).
• Proven Power BI expertise in developing dashboards, reports, and visual analytics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to summarize technical discussions for executive-level reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar) preferred.
• Experience working in a regulated utility or energy sector environment is a plus
