Job Description
The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, attractive, and properly portioned meals for residents while following menus, dietary requirements, sanitation standards, and facility procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare meals according to established menus and recipes.
Follow special diets and resident dietary restrictions.
Maintain proper food temperatures and sanitation.
Prepare food in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
Properly store and label food.
Assist with inventory and kitchen organization.
Previous food-service experience preferred.
Healthcare or long-term-care dietary experience preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
Ability to work as part of a team.
