A well-established litigation defense firm is seeking attorneys to join its growing Medical Malpractice Defense practice in Midtown Manhattan.

This hybrid opportunity offers a schedule of three days in the office and two days remote while providing attorneys the opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators in a collaborative environment focused on mentorship, coaching, internal growth, and long-term career development.

Responsibilities

• Defend hospitals, physicians, and healthcare providers in medical malpractice matters.
• Draft, review, and respond to discovery.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Appear in court for conferences and hearings.
• Draft and argue motions.
• Perform legal and medical research.
• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York Bar.
• Two or more years of medical malpractice defense experience preferred.
• Direct medical malpractice defense experience required for mid-level, senior, and Of Counsel candidates.
• Candidates with District Attorney, General Liability, or Personal Injury backgrounds will also be considered.
• Strong legal writing, advocacy, and case management skills.
