Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current experience in an Emergency Department License: Current state RN license required Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS CPI preferred TNCC preferred NIHSS can be obtained after acceptance Must-Have: Must be able to pass EKG testing prior to start date Must have 2 years of current experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care. The role involves working night shifts, three times a week. The nurse will handle a patient ratio of 4 to 5. Travelers are required to work every other weekend or two weekends per month. Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS is required. Experience with care for ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation administration is important. The nurse will provide triage and interpret dysrhythmias. A moderate degree of patient acuity is expected, including trauma and cardiac patients. Experience in a trauma level I or II setting is beneficial. The nurse will work with interdisciplinary support teams, including respiratory services and radiology. Primary patient age groups will include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Knowledge of charting systems is preferred. Candidates must ensure certifications and licenses remain valid for the duration of the assignment. Travel experience is advantageous. The candidate may be required to float to other units as necessary. All policies comply with current standards of practice.
