Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting elementary students by providing speech-language services during an FMLA leave this fall. This full-time contract role offers the chance to work with a dedicated team, focusing on the needs of children as they develop essential communication skills. The assignment begins at the start of the school year and is anticipated to run through Thanksgiving, with the possibility of extension.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license in Minnesota or eligibility to obtain before start date
- CCC-SLP, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates, and recent graduates welcomed
- Pediatric or school-based SLP experience (preferred)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
What You'll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct and consultative SLP services, tailoring therapy to each student's unique needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports to monitor student growth
- Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and ongoing professional development activities
- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment
