NOW HIRING 1ST SHIFT ADVANCED CNC MACHINIST / PROGRAMMER!

Location: Chardon, OH
Pay: Based on Experience (DOE)
Schedule:** MondayFriday | 7:00 AM3:30 PM
Shift: 1st Shift | Full-Time

Mancan Staffing is partnering with a manufacturing facility in Chardon, OH, in search of an experienced Advanced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join their team!

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional who enjoys hands-on machining, programming, troubleshooting, and producing high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of the machining process from initial setup and programming through final inspection.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program, set up, and operate CNC machines, including turning, milling, and multi-axis equipment.

Create, edit, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs using G-code, CAM software, and conversational controls.

Work with Mazak, Fanuc, or similar CNC control systems.

Perform complete machine setups, including tooling selection, workholding, offsets, and tool adjustments.

Determine appropriate speeds, feeds, and cutting tools for various materials.

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.

Perform first-piece inspections and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.

Troubleshoot machining issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

Monitor production quality and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Operate CNC equipment and assist with production runs as needed.

Maintain accurate setup documentation and follow all safety and quality procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
35 years of CNC machining experience with programming and setup responsibilities preferred.

Strong knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, M-code, and machine troubleshooting.

Experience with Mazak, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls.

Proficiency with CAM software and CNC programming techniques.

Ability to perform complete machine setups independently.

Experience with CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining equipment.

Ability to read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and work within tight tolerances.

Familiarity with machining alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials.

Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.

Must have personal machining tools and be comfortable working with minimal supervision.

Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement is a plus!
