Store Manager

The Store Manager is a leadership role responsible for the independent decision making and overall management, financial performance, and operational excellence of assigned store location(s). The Store Manager’s primary duty is management, including directing the work of employees, making personnel decisions, overseeing financial performance, and exercising independent judgment on significant business matters to ensure profitable and compliant operations.

Salary: $50K - $60K Annually | DOE

Primary:

• Direct, coach, develop, and evaluate store staff across assigned location(s).
• Exercise authority to hire, discipline, promote, and terminate employees in partnership with Human Resources.
• Establish staffing plans, schedules, and performance expectations aligned with business needs.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, ethics, and continuous improvement.
• Accountable for store profitability, margins, expenses, and performance metrics.
• Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets.
• Lead execution of company programs, policies, and operational standards.
• Use independent judgment to resolve operational issues, customer escalations, and personnel matters.
• Oversee accurate documentation, quotations, and business records.
• Provide oversight of ERP system usage (Epicor Prophet 21), ensuring data accuracy and adherence to process standards.
• Report on business performance, risks, and opportunities to leadership
• Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently achieved.
• Oversee key customer relationships and support account development efforts.
• Manage supplier relationships in coordination with leadership and procurement teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and safety standards.
• Champion MFCP programs and enforce safe, organized, and compliant work environments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred
• Minimum 4 years of progressive management experience, including 1-year direct supervision of employees.
• Experience in industrial distribution, fluid power, Parker products, or related industries strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record in accordance with Employee Handbook.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP experience (Epicor Prophet 21) preferred.

• High attention to detail and quality standards.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The essential functions of this position will require the employee to perform the following physical activities:

• Frequent use of office equipment
• Must be able to carry, push, pull, reach, and lift materials and objects up to 70 lbs.
• Stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring, and climbing ladder
• Work environment may vary including warehouses containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements, office work, manufacturing, machine shops, agricultural operations, and any other specific business operations of current or potential customers.
• Must be able to travel 25% via air/automobile to multiple locations.
• Regular attendance on site.
