4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block

Floating Policy

Flexibility to float over core staff as needed.

Patient Experience Requirements

Bedside shift report
Safety checks every 1-2 hours
Focus on communication and responsiveness

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Requested Skill Set

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to perform basic patient assessments and provide general care, including but not limited to:

Wound management
Tracheostomy care
Ostomy care
Drain management
Chest tube management
Care for stroke and seizure patients

Patients may require dialysis or PCA pumps, with Heparin as the only drip medication on the unit.

Post-Operative Procedures

Amputations
Ostomy care
Drain management
Chest tube management
Oral surgeries
Wound VAC care

Dress Code

Scrubs in Navy, Blue, White, Black, Gray, and Ceil Blue.

Unit Guidelines and Policies

HAI prevention
CVC and Foley monitoring with standard precautions
Fall prevention measures
DCL Lounge/Throughput 100%
Medication scanning, including controlled substances
Attendance as per policy
